S epidemid’sMy father has a trach and he has a bacterial infection around the trach tube. His neck has been red,sore and a little swollen and he has this white mucus around the trach area and on his neck that looks like what a yeast infection would look like. But his ent dr said that it did not look like a yeast infection but said that it was a bacterial infection. What are the names of some bacterial infections that would be around a trach area.
